CUPERTINO, CA (February 6, 2012) - Zeidman Consulting and Fonly LLC have agreed to work together on intellectual property cases. Fonly and Zeidman will specialize in electronic hardware analysis and reverse engineering to detect patent infringement, trade secret theft, and copyright infringement.
Fonly LLC is headed by Lee Felsenstein, a pioneer in the design of early personal computers. He designed the first complete personal computer incorporating video display, the Processor Technology SOL-20, and the first commercially successful portable computer, the Osborne-1, both of which are in the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History. Mr. Felsenstein is a Laureate of the Tech Museum of Innovation for his work on sustainable information and communication systems for the developing world, and was awarded the Pioneer of the Electronic Frontier award of the Electronic Frontier Foundation. He received his Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley and holds 14 patents.
Zeidman Consulting is headed by Bob Zeidman, a pioneer in the fields of analyzing and synthesizing software source code, having created the SynthOS™ program for synthesizing operating systems and the CodeSuite® program for detecting software intellectual property theft. He has written four engineering texts—The Software IP Detective's Handbook, Verilog Designer's Library, Introduction to Verilog, and Designing with FPGAs and CPLDs—in addition to numerous articles and papers. He teaches engineering and business courses at conferences throughout the world. Bob holds 12 patents and earned two bachelor's degrees, in physics and electrical engineering, from Cornell University and a master's degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University.
