What Does The Government Need?

 
    • A Business License
      • In California, you can obtain one from City Hall for a small fee.

    • A Fictitious Business Name Statement
      • In California, you get this from the County Clerk for a small fee. It allows you to do business under a company name. It is only needed if you do business using a company name rather than your own name.

    • No Reseller's License
      • As a consultant you will be providing a service to your clients, not selling products. You do not need a Reseller's License and you are not required to charge sales tax.
